The Nation State: Journal of National Security and Geopolitics is published as a fully open access journal. All content is freely available immediately upon publication, without subscription or pay‐per‐view fees. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, and use them for any lawful purpose, without prior permission from the publisher or author.

This policy aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access, which endorses unrestricted access to scholarly literature. By removing price and permission barriers, The Nation State ensures the widest possible dissemination and reuse of research on national security and geopolitics.

Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, permitting others to share and adapt their work so long as appropriate credit is given and adaptations are shared alike.
